Seth wearing Terry's boots and gloves
This was the nasty flu that everyone in our household got, and we gave to Auntie Denise and Gramma Ginny! Seth couldn't even keep his head up to puke, so I had to hold it. He was such a sorry little sight!
Breana and Seth helping Daddy put up Christmas lights.
Cheese!
Seth's first attempt at painting!
Our family photo! One of the only decent ones we got. Seth is not a posed picture taker!
Seth and all his grumpy wonder!
Breana at her gymnastics Christmas performance.
Seth wearing Daddy's big snowboots!
Wow, I can't believe it's almost Christmas already! It's only 4 days till Christmas and I'm still not done my Christmas shopping. I'm never this late! I guess there is a first for everything!
The kids are doing well. Seth is just getting over a cold that was accompanied by an ear infection. The only reason we suspected an ear infection is because a bunch of wax came out, just like the first time he had one. This kid doesn't usually complain when he has an ear infection, so it can be difficult to determine if he has one or not. This cold is basically just a chesty cough which only presents a problem when he is trying to sleep.
Breana is doing well in school. She is becoming quite the little reader! She often wants to read the "Little Critter" books for bedtime, and we only have to help with a few words on each page! Although, I think she could probably recite some of the books off by heart, she is getting the hang of it. She has decided she wants to take a break from gymnastics, which kind of surprised me. She said she will get back into them next year. She had a Christmas "concert" for gymnastics which was, surprisingly, the only concert she had this year. Terry, me, Seth, and Grandma Ginny were dazzled by her stunning moves! They all did really well!
I am still very busy at work. The project that I have been in charge of since I returned to work in June will be finished soon....and boy, I can't wait! I'm getting sick of doing the G/L project and can't wait to get back into regular accounting work again! We are aiming for an implementation the second week in January. What this project has entailed is to develop a new general ledger for all 14 stores so that they are all consistent. Right now, all stores have different general ledgers, so we can't create a consolidated financial statement. Right now, I'm mapping the old GL account numbers to the new GL numbers, so that has to be done seperately for all 14 stores.
Terry is still at Brandon Marine & Leisure. It is pretty quiet there right now. We need some more snow, although we did just get some. They have started to feel the effects of the recession, but hopefully they will get through everything ok.
We hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please be safe and we hope to talk to you or see you soon!
Love,
Terry, Becky, Breana & Seth

September/October 2008
Here are the kids at Halloween. Breana was a grey cat and Seth was a lion. Mom did an amazing job with the costumes. Breana took this picture!
Breana is doing gymnastics again this year. She is having a blast doing it, as always.
We finally got the siding done on the house, and got rid of that awful blue foundation. It looks so much better.
I realized I never posted pictures of Breana's first day of kindergarten. Here she is with the student teacher. The next pictures are of her before school. She is such a diva, she had to pose in a hundred different ways!
Here is our family picture that was taken at Megan and Areimei's wedding. Terry stood up with Areimei, and Breana was the flowergirl. Seth looked so cute in his little suit, but I didn't get a good picture of it. He was kinda grumpy that day.
We went to the pumpkin patch at Oak Lake at the end of September. The kids had a blast!
Remi is a lucky dog. October was a rough month for him. During the first part of October, he had bladder stones and needed surgery to get rid of them. Then, at the end of the month, he had colitis, so he was on medication for that. Needless to say, our warm vacation has been put on hold as he used up our vacation fund! Darn dog!
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Between work, kids, my course, it's been a hectic month.
Everyone just got over having the flu. It was nasty! The kids were sick on Tuesday. It was weird having Seth throw up because with Breana, she can at least hit a pail. Seth, not so much. Needless to say, we had to disinfect the ENTIRE house yesterday. Terry and I ended up with in on Thursday/Friday.
Mom, Denise, and I went to "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" on Thursday. It was awesome. The only bad thing was that we ended up giving our flu (which hit me after the show) to both Mom and Denise. Oops! Sorry!
Breana is LOVING school. She is enjoying it so much. They have just started home reading, and she is wanting to learn to read so badly. I have never seen a kid so into books. She would sit and listen to you read 1,000 stories a day if you could. SEth is really starting to enjoy books as well, so hopefully he is the same way.

Seth's First Real Haircut
I finally broke down and booked Seth his first real haircut. He had had the hair around his ears trimmed once, but not a full hair cut. Seeing it was starting to look like a mullet, it was time to head to haircutter Audrey!
These are the "before" pictures. Notice the hair around his ears and how long the back looks!
These are the "during" pictures. I was smart and bought a box of smarties before we got there. I had given him a couple before the haircut so he knew what they were. He's never had them before, and he sure liked them. We tried sitting him on the chair by himself, and he probably would have been okay, but he doesn't like having his arms hidden by anything...cape, towel, nothing...so as soon as the cape was put on, he started squirming. I ended up sitting with him so one of the other workers took pictures for us! He was squirmy at first, but then I had Breana had me smarties one at a time, and that made him sit still. (If you have more than one of anything in your hand for Seth to eat, he will take them all, stuff them in his mouth, and keep it there for about an hour! What a little chipmunk he is!)
Here are the "after" pictures. My little baby is gone and has been replaced with a little boy! The hair cut looks great. Much better! Thanks a ton Audrey!
Anyways, that was yesterday. Today, we have our first parent-teacher interview with Breana's kindergarten teacher to meet one-on-one. She goes for her first day either tomorrow afternoon or Monday. We will find out today. She is pretty excited! Along with school, she is also starting gymnastics on Tuesday and swimming lessons in a couple of weeks. Back to the routine of being really busy!
To top all that off, I'm starting back at my courses once again. I'm taking a University course this term, and again next term, and then Auditing in the spring. So please pray for me, for my sanity, and that I get through these courses okay! I've never taken courses, worked full time, had 2 kids, and have to take them to things before, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to probably go insane!

Where has the time gone?
Wow, I can't believe we are almost done August. I'm not sure where the summer went! Breana starts Kindergarten in less than 2 weeks! She is sure excited! Not only for school to start, but for gymnastics and swimming lessons to start, as well as going back to Vanessa's for daycare. I am officially done working part time tomorrow and go back full time in September, although I am taking 6 days off at the beginning of Sept for holidays.
Seth is growing up so fast. He is now officially walking 100% of the time. It took him a little longer to walk, but he has the hang of it now. He is trying to learn to run, but it's more like a fast walk then a fall! He just cut his 7th and 8th teeth last week. They gave him a bit of trouble (fever) so we are happy that he is back to his happy-go-lucky little self!
We are almost finished siding the house. We just have the top of the east side to do. It should only take us a day to finish. We are happy with the way it turned out. We would like to paint the foundation, at least in the front, to get rid of that awful blue, but we're not sure if that will happen this summer yet or not.
We went to Winnipeg for a weekend a couple of weeks ago. We went to Tinkertown and to the Zoo. Breana LOVED Tinkertown. None of us had ever been there before, so it was a special day. We were there from 2:30 until closing at 7, and we rode 99% of the rides. Some of them multiple times! And boy was it hot out! We went to the Zoo on Saturday. It was hot out that day as well, so some of the animals were out, but sleeping. We saw all the animals that we wanted to, but we were pretty tired so we left around 2pm. We got some lunch and headed home. It was a nice weekend. The kids were pretty well behaved and we had some "family" time.
Oh, better get going. Seth just woke up from his nap. I have tried to post pictures, but it's not letting me, so you'll have to wait!!

Some Pictures
Mmmmmmm...ice cream cone!
My handywork on Sunday afternoon at Gramma's house! The girls wanted their faces and arms painted.
Terry and the kids on the quad.
Breana trying to get the frisbee from Jazz. She wouldn't let go!
Seth's turn at trying to get the frisbee!
A picture of Remi. I haven't posted about him much.
Oh, and we have a monkey on our hands! I went outside quickly to check on supper one night, and as I was coming back to the door, I found him getting out onto the step. I thought Breana had opened the door for him. I guess I was wrong because he did it again the next day, and Breana was outside and I saw him opening the door because he wanted outside as well!!!
