Well, we are officially moved into our new house. We moved this weekend with the help of Kim, Abe, Don, Audrey, Stephen, and my mom. They were all a BIG help. Terry got all the new flooring down and some of the baseboards. He put in some very long days before the move. It all looks great. The kids (Breana, Tyler and Samantha) were "big" helps too. We are still living mostly out of boxes as I had my Income Tax exam last night and have not had a chance to unpack anything. My free time at the beginning of the week was devoted to studying so I don't have to write this blasted exam a third time! This weekend is devoted to unpack and organizing. You don't realize how much you rely on knowing where everything is until you don't know where anything is!

About my exam, I think I did okay. I was able to finish the whole exam this time, whereas last time I wasn't able to finish a 25 mark question...which could be why I failed!!! We'll see if I made 65% when I get my marks in 2 months.

We've had a young girl looking after Breana this week. Her name in Nicole and Breana sure seems to like her a lot. She seems to be another "Katherine!" I had Nicole come over Tuesday afternoon so I could study in peace, and Breana didn't want to take her home when it was time for her to go, so I guess that is a good thing. She starts at Vanessa's house next week, so hopefully she is as gungho then as well.

We lose possession of our house in Oak Lake tomorrow. Breana and Terry went out on Tuesday to do some final clean up of the yard, so they went inside and said goodbye to Breana's room and all the other rooms. Breana has adjusted very well to her new house. I am amazed at how well she has done. She calls our house in Oak Lake the "bad house" and our new house the "good house". She likes the fact of being able to ride her bike everywhere in Brandon. She had a hard time riding her bike at Oak Lake because our lane was uphill and it was gravel.

Remi is adjusting slowly. He still doesnt' get the fact that he can't wander like he used to! No more daily trips to see Cocoa at Don and Audrey's! But he sure is liking the fact that we are home at noon, and right after 5, and that he gets to go a lot more in the car with us wherever we go!

Just thought I might update you, whoever you are, on what has transpired the last week or so at the Williams' household. If you are in Brandon, drop by, we would like to have more company at our house in Brandon than we did in Oak Lake, because we did not have very many visitors out there!

We have been working hard on our new house. We had to pull all the carpet out of the main floor due to dog hair. The previous owners had 3 border collies in the house, and Terry is allergice to pet hair and dander, needless to say, it didn't take very long for that carpet to hit the road! They had the carpets cleaned, but you should have seent the hair that remained under the baseboards and the carpet. It was really disgusting!

We've painted the living room, hallway, and the 3 bedrooms upstairs. Terry started laying the laminate flooring in our bedroom last night. It's going to look so good! I'm excited! Breana doesn't want to stay at the "bad" house anymore, she wants to stay at our new house. I guess she is ready to move. Hopefully she will adjust well.

We found a babysitter! Finally! Her name is Vanessa. She is a stay-at-home mom with 3 kids and another on the way for the end of January who will be finishing her teaching degree in the fall (all she has left to do is student teach). She seems to be a very nice lady, very carefree and loving. Her kids are Tzevi (pronounced Zevi), he's 10, is very friendly, and is visually impaired. Zavier is 4 1/2 and will be starting kindergarten this fall. He is a very active little boy!. Tyvek (Ty) is 3, and is also very active. They have a lot of toys, go to different playgroups every morning of the week, and seem to be really wonderful people. Terry is going with me to meet them tonight. I haven't met her husband yet so we'll "meet the men" tonight!

Anyways, we are planning to move our stuff into Brandon this weekend. If anyone is free, I'm sure there will be some boxes that need to be moved, so come on over. There might even be some cold beverages available! I am still trying to squeeze in studying for my CGA Income Tax exam that I have to write on the 30th. Nothing like having everything happen all at one time! I still have to pack the whole house.....AHHHHHHHH!!!

Oh well...at least I have a babysitter!

Well, we get possession of our new house today. I forgot our camera, so I'll have to post some pictures of it as soon as I remember to bring it! I interviewed a lady last night for babysitting. Man, it sure is difficult to find someone to leave Breana with. I think I am procrastinating accepting someone because I have never had to leave her with someone I or she didn't already know. I am meeting with another young lady tonight. Hopefully I get that "feeling" about her and it will all work out.

We starting loading the trailer on Sunday. All stuff that we haven't used in ages. Some of it was still packed from our move from Brandon to Oak Lake in 2000! I guess we really need that!

Might get to ride in a brand new combine tonight. I work at the New Holland dealership here in Brandon, and my boss runs a potato farm. His employees have been invited out tonight to go ride or drive a combine. Should be fun! Never been in anything newer than a 1977 (right Dad!).

Breana has adjusted well to coming home after being with Grandma Ginny for four days. Usually she is a monster because she gets so spoiled at Grandma's, but she seemed to be good this time.

We had a family supper last night welcoming Megan back from her time with VTI (Venture Teams International, a missions group) She just got back from Peru the day the people were arrested in England. She is home for a week and then off to China to teach English for 10 months. I don't think that girl will every stay in one place very long!

Anyhoo, better go eat.

Well, we went and saw our new house again last night. I'm getting pretty excited about moving. It will be so much nicer not having to drive all the time. We met the lady that we bought the house from and she seemed really nice. She said the neighbors are nice and there is a young girl across the street that babysits, so that is good!

Breana is spending this week with Grandma Ginny. Kim, Terry's sister who usually looks after Breana, is in Alberta picking up his other sister, Megan, who is just getting back from Peru. Megan will be home for a week and a bit, then she is off to China for a year to teach English. This girl has been to India, England, Botswana, Costa Rica, Peru, and is only 21 years old! She sure has seen the globe!

We met with a lady last night about daycare in Brandon. She seemed fairly nice. She was a teacher. Both Terry and I said she was very "teacherish" after we left her house. Great minds think alike! We meet with another lady tomorrow night. She is a stay-at-home mom with a 5 and 3 year old. We'll see which one we go with after tomorrow night. We had a couple of calls last night answering my ad in the paper, and they were both men. They kinda weirded me out! I don't think I could leave Breana with a strange man. Not my idea of safe...kinda paranoid!

It's Terry's 32nd birthday day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRY!

Breana's new saying is..."you're the best, mommy!" She says that, and then she gets heck and then says "I don't like you, mommy!" Oh, I love this 3 year old stage!

I just signed up for another year of CGA courses. Holy crap they are expensive. I am only taking 2 courses and it cost me well over $1500!!! I must be nuts to be doing this! Oh well, only 5 more years to go! Half way there!

Well, I finally set up my own blog. Hopefully I will keep up with it.

We get possession of our new house on the 15th. We are both starting to get excited. Breana knows that we are moving to Brandon and that she will meet new friends. She seems alright with it at the moment. We'll see once we start packing and actually moving.

Breana just finished her swimming lessons. She did very well. Grandma Ginny and Papa Dennis came up to watch her. She had to put on a show, of course. I took holidays the first week and Terry took holidays the second week so we were always able to be there for them. She "graduated" from little swimmers 2 and her instructor said she was ready for level 1 swimming.

I haven't found a babysitter for Breana yet. I've put an ad in the paper, so we'll see what that brings.

Anyhoo, better get back to work.
