Wow! I can't believe Seth is 1 today! Where did this past year go?
We had Seth's pictures taken today at Walmart and for the first time, I got the CD made with all the pictures they took. He was happy to begin with, but the smiles quickly got harder and harder to capture! Good thing for nursery rhyme songs! That was the only way we got smiles! He loves those songs! Here are the pictures from today!
We are having Seth's birthday party tomorrow with the family and a couple of friends. It's nice to have a spring/summer birthday because that means the people don't always have to be in our house! That's a lot of people for our house! The joys of big families!
Here is Seth playing peek-a-boo thru a box the other day. He thought that it was very fun!
Seth is sure a boy! He loves to be outside. As soon as the door opens, he scootches over and tries to get outside. He is slowing getting used to the feel of grass. He didn't like it to begin with. Now, he loves playing in the grass, eating the grass, and getting himself really dirty! Ahhh...boys!!
This is your day Seth! We love you! We are enjoying the little man that you are becoming! You are developing such the little personality, it's hard to imagine how one little boy can be so fun loving! I am sad today because you are growing up so fast. I am also sad because I have to go back to work on Monday and I have to leave you with someone other than me. That will be very hard for me. I'm thankful that you will have your big sister with you. She will take care of you...she always does...whether you like it or not! Happy Birthday Seth! We love you. You are no longer a baby, you are our little boy now!

What did we get ourselves into?!?!
Well, Spring is in the air...and with Spring, comes renovations. And we decide to start 3, yes, 3 projects, ALL AT ONCE!
Here is our downstairs bathroom all ripped apart. It was just a 2 piece bathroom, and we are going to put in a corner shower, so that we can renovate the upstairs bathroom, and still have a shower. This project is at a standstill as of right now because the other projects are more important.
Here is project #2! We decided to finally paint the kitchen, so here is Terry and Breana taking down the ugly wallpaper border. The half the I did myself was way harder than what they took down!
Here is Terry sanding our kitchen cupboards so that they can be painted. It was a yucky job...lots of dust! We did this when the kids went to bed so they didn't have to be near it. That was a late night. Good thing for orbital sanders! It saved our arms!
Here is Terry priming the cupboards. Honestly, I did work too, but I was always the one who said, "We need a picture of this!" So that's why Terry is always in the picture. Again, this was done when the kids were in bed, thus, another late night!
And...Project #3! And the biggest project of all! Insulating and siding the house! We were approved for the Manitoba Hydro Insulation Rebate Program, so it pretty well pays for the styrofoam insulation. We are siding over the existing stucco on the south, east, and north walls, but have to take down the siding on the west wall. That black part is now insulated and sided. This project will probably take a while yet. Hopefully we can have some summer!
Here is the part that we have done. The ugly blue bottom and stairs will be going as well, but it is going to wait until the rest of the siding is done. Oh, how we despise that blue!
Here is Terry and Breana dancing at Terry's cousin's wedding. Breana had a blast and didn't want to leave!
Breana found an OLD pair of my glasses downstairs and decided to wear a hat and model them for me. That cracked me up! What was I thinking with those glasses?! Those are some ugly glasses!
Me and the kids had gone down to Deloraine for a few days at the beginning of April. Mom had gotten a face painting kit at Costco last year when we were there. This was the first time Breana had her face painted by Gramma. She then proceeded to paint her own arm...black! We had to scrub to get the black off!
I can't believe Seth is going to be 1 in less than a month! This year has definetly flown by. He is still scootching around, and loves to walk with your fingers. He wants desparately to walk, but still does not have the balance for it yet. It will be soon enough though! He cut 2 more teeth last month, so we are now at 6 teeth. He had been quite cranky trying to cut those teeth because they were pushing so hard on his gums. He was waking up frequently thru the night. One night, he slept thru the night, so I checked, and sure enough, both had cut thru the gums....ahhhhh....relief!
Here is a pic of the first tooth on the top. The other ones were there, you just can't see them in this pic.
Here, he is showing off his favorite cute hat. Everyone comments on how cute this hat is. I love it!
This is the first family picture of the Williams family since the hospital! How terrible! It took over 11 months to get a family picture! Oh well. We have it now. The kids are growing up way to fast! It's only 4 more weeks till I go back to work :( Luckily, it's only part time for the summer!
On another note, Brandon Marine and Leisure finally moved into their new shop. It was the end of August of last year when they had a fire in their old shop. We were down in South Dakota on vacation when that happened. Since then, they had been in a different shop that didn't really suit their needs. So, needless to say, they are all happy to be back in their original location, with a new shop, lots of showroom space, proper shop space, etc! Now for them to get organized!
