Well, today is Breana's Happy Graduation/Last Day at preschool. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. In only a couple of months, she will be starting kindergarten! That is so hard to believe! She is having a lot of people attend her graduation today. Gramma Ginny, Papa Dennis, Gramma Audrey, Auntie Kim, and possibly Auntie Denise are coming, other than us, so I'm sure there will be a lot of people there. They are singing some of their favorite songs, and then there are a few presentations that the teachers are making, then refreshments. Some of us are also going out for lunch beforehand. I will make sure to post pictures. (I've already downloaded the pics off my camera and deleted the memory stick...I didn't do that before her preschool Christmas concert and ran out of space after the 3rd picture!)
Oh well. Here is her graduation picture that was taken a couple of weeks ago. She was pretty proud of herself that she got to go to haircutter Audrey and have her hair done pretty. Mommy sure can't do that! Gorguous!
(It's a picture of the picture, so the quality is better in real life!)

His 1 Year appointment
He had his 1 year appointment today. He weighed in at 21 lbs, 7 oz, and measured 29 1/2 inches long. So he is about 5 oz smaller than Breana at a year and 1/2 inch shorter! Dr. Elves said Seth is skinny because he could not pinch any fat on his belly! But, to make up for it, his head circumference was 49 cm, which is that of a 2 year old!!! He isn't walking yet, but Dr. Elves said as long as he was cruising around furniture and using hands to walk, then there is no worry. He didn't figure he would walk for 2 - 3 months. He could tell that from twisting his feet inward and outward. If he was ready to walk, he would have only been able to turn his feet outward to parallel. He was able to turn them a lot further than that, almost all the way around, so he said the muscles in his legs aren't tight enough to stabalize him yet. Oh well, he gets around very well as is, so a couple more months won't hurt!
I went back to work for the first day yesterday, which means that the kids were at daycare for the first time. I am only working 3 days a week for the summer, just to get Seth used to daycare. This week I am just working the mornings, I figured plopping him in daycare for 9 hours was a little bit too much, so I figured I'd ease him into it. When I dropped them off, he did really well. He didn't see me leave, which is probably why he didn't cry, but that was a good thing because then I didn't cry! When I picked them up at noon, he was sleeping and had been since about 10:15. The babysitter said he cried a little bit but did really well. We'll see how he does tomorrow when I take him back and he knows what is happening! Breana did really well. She is old enough to know what is going on. She is Seth's "security blanket" at the babysitters. As long as she is around, he is okay. But as soon as she leaves the room, he cried!
Oh well, what do you do! Gotta pay the bills!

He Partied Hard!
We had Seth's birthday party yesterday. What a day! We ended up having 38 people for his party! He had a good nap in the morning, but skipped his afternoon nap completely! We are thankful that he napped good in the morning because it tided him over until he fell asleep at 7:45! He was a trooper, and a happy one at that!
This is the little man opening gifts...and gifts...and more gifts!
Here is Papa Dennis being himself!
More gift openings!
We had 2 cakes for his party, this one was his very own smash cake that Breana and I made him. It was chocolate cake with chocolate icing! The rest of the guests ate a different cake. I forgot to get a picture of the other one.
This is the first picture. Notice the progression of messiness! The pictures speak volumes. He loved having his own cake. A few people helped him try the icing out, but he had a good go at it!
A little timid at first!
OK, he's decided he likes it and is all over that cake!
Here he is getting into the tub. He was a mess!
By all accounts, everyone had a good time. The weather cooperated nicely, the food was excellent, and the fellowship was fun! Thanks for all that came to make Seth's first birthday party a blast!
